Cartoon mascot of Aaron Davis, The Hot Tub Coach

Years of water tests and serviced tubs — and zero patience for bad advice.

Aaron Davis — Hot Tub & Water Care Specialist

I've worked with some of the most successful spa dealers on the West Coast — running spa expos, managing big showrooms, and getting hands-on with just about every tub ever made: Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, Caldera, Sundance, Vita Spa, MAAX, Strong Spas, Master Spas, Artesian, Viking, Endless Pools, inflatables, even the white-label imports. I've also sold Nordic, Cal Spas, and Coast Spas — so I know those brands from both sides of the counter.

Everything I know about water care came the slow way — years of water tests, servicing hot tubs, and learning from folks who've been at it for decades.

Water problems, technical problems, "it's making a weird noise" problems — I've fixed them all. And here's the dirty secret: most hot tub problems aren't hard. They're just explained badly — usually by a forum warrior who's never touched a filter, or a salesperson who had to go "ask the back."

Teaching is nothing new for me — I've also spent 12+ years coaching youth football and basketball. Breaking things down until they click is what I've done my whole life. "The Hot Tub Coach" isn't a gimmick. It's a resume.

So here's my deal: point your camera at your tub, and we fix it together, live. No dealer agenda. No jargon. No upsell script.

  • 6 years hands-on across 15+ major hot tub brands
  • Countless tubs diagnosed — water chemistry to technical faults
  • Plain-English explanations — no chemistry degree required
  • Brand-neutral: I don't work for any chemical company

How it works

  1. Book a time

Pick a session, grab a slot, and knock out the 2-minute session agreement — keeps us both clear. Answer a few quick questions and I'll show up already knowing your tub.

  2. Meet by video

Join on Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime. Have your tub and test kit nearby if you can.

  3. Get your plan

Within 24 hours you'll receive a written summary, your routine, and a short product list with links.

Questions

What do I need for a session?

A phone with a camera and your test strips. That's it. This isn't NASA.

Can you help if I have no idea where to start?

Yes — that's most of my clients, honestly. Nobody handed you a manual, and the one that came with the tub is worthless anyway. We start from zero and get it right.

Do I need to buy products from you?

Nope. Buy them wherever you want. I'll just tell you which ones are worth the money and which ones are basically expensive water.

Will the session be recorded?

If you'd like it recorded, just ask — you'll get the link afterward to rewatch any time.

Do I need to sign anything?

Every client completes a short session agreement before their first session. It keeps us both clear: I provide the guidance, you handle the chemicals and your equipment, and everyone follows their manufacturer's labels. It takes two minutes.

What if I need to reschedule?

Reschedule any time up to 12 hours before your session at no charge.

Do you work on swim spas and plunge tubs too?

Yes. Water care principles are the same, and we can talk through the differences in sizing, filtration, and cost.

Step 1 — Lock in your session agreement

The waiver keeps us both clear, and your answers tell me everything about your tub before we ever meet — so session time is spent fixing, not explaining.

Session Agreement & Liability Release

Educational consultations, delivered remotely by video. By checking the box below, I understand and agree:

  1. Advice, not service. The Coach provides guidance and education only. The Coach will not handle, add, or dispose of any chemicals and will not perform work on my spa or equipment. I am solely responsible for anything I do to my spa, its water, or its equipment.
  2. Follow the labels. I agree to follow my spa manufacturer's instructions and all product labels. If any advice differs from a label or manual, the label wins.
  3. My information. Advice is based on the info, photos, and readings I provide, which I confirm are accurate to the best of my knowledge.
  4. No guarantees. Water and equipment outcomes depend on many factors outside the Coach's control. No specific result is promised.
  5. Health & safety. I am responsible for safe handling, storage, and disposal of all products I use, and for keeping people and pets safe around my spa. For any chemical exposure or medical concern, I will contact emergency services or Poison Control (1-800-222-1222).
  6. Release. To the fullest extent allowed by law, I release The Hot Tub Coach and Aaron Davis from claims arising from my own actions, my equipment, or my application of any advice, product, or technique discussed in a session.
  7. Recording. Sessions are recorded only with my consent, for my personal replay.
